Greetings from Uxbridge! (Bob Nealon and family)
RJ just turned 16! Hard to believe that Gramma's first born "great" grandchild is now 16. No driving permit yet (b-day was 3/14), but it will happen (despite Jen's fears). His passion right now is music and drums. Has two drum sets, takes lessons and yes-is part of a "basement band" with a few other friends from Milford. He's doing well during sophmore year at Holy Name and has started the spring Outdoor Track season. Mary and Leslie continue to dance A LOT. Most nights of the week they are in Worcester or Hopedale or Mendon (the three dance studios that they practice at). Now that we're through the month long St. Patrick's Day irish dancing events/gigs, they will start competing at week-end competitions around New England. The dancing sometimes makes for some late nights for Jen and I and some hectic driving schedules - but we enjoy watching them perform (and most importantly-they have a blast). Mike has put away his baseball glove and has started playing Lacrosse this spring. So far, he likes it-says he likes the physical aspect of it (future rugger for sure). After 4 fun and fulfilling years of homeschooling, Mary, Mike and Leslie are returning to school in the Fall. Mary will be starting her Freshman year at Holy Name (with RJ). Mike and Leslie will go to Our Lady of the Valley School in Uxbridge for 8th and 5th grade respectively. Jen is beginning to plan her working career. Right now, she has registered to become an active substitute teacher in the Uxbridge school system and still works at Johnny Jacks restaurant in Milford a couple times a month (which she enjoys). With all 4 kids in school full-time, it will be a new world for Jen after 16 years "at home." As for me, I'm a happy camper. My job is going well. I'm a Regional Director for a technology company that serves car dealerships and credit unions. Aside from a hectic travel schedule at times, it is going well. Jen & I had a great trip to San Francisco in February. We mixed business with pleasure and were able to really enjoy a very cool city that neither of us had been to before. We are looking forward to a fun trip to New Mexico (to visit Jen's sister Amy in Santa Fe) and Arizona (the Grand Canyon) during the upcoming April school vacation week. I think it will be a real memorable "family vacation." It will also be fun because my Mom & Dad are coming with us. That's it for now from this Nealon household. Go Red Sox!
