Support Callie's effort in 2012 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk

Hi Everyone!

As many of you know the month of October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.  I’m sure this hits home for many of you, as it does for me.  I’ve recently joined a team that will participating in the 2012 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Boston, MA that will be this Sunday, October 14th.  I wanted to send a note out to get any and all support from co-workers, family, and friends.  Any amount of a donation means so much to me as well as my team!  With this walk, I am a fourth timer  and “The Next Breast Thing” is full of some incredible women all looking to support this cause. Especially for our friend, Rachel who is currently battling with breast cancer.  She is in a chemo stage and though most days are very rough, she has such a positive spirit and beautiful smile through it all.   It’s an amazing cause and to be honest- a life changing experience thus far.  People don’t realize how much this affects them or their loved ones until they are dealing with it firsthand.  I’ve met some very courageous breast cancer patients and survivors along with their families and friends.   I’ve seen what this disease has done to them, yet no matter what they’ve keep fighting the fight which is because of the hope they have! There are amazing doctors and nurses out there helping to fight this disease and one day find a cure.  This is where the “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer – Boston, MA” Walk comes in.   Over the years, this walk means so much to the people fighting this disease and their families as they truly depend on it and the money it raises.  So, from here on out – I plan to participate in this walk every year until that cure if found.

Thank you so much in advance for taking the time to read this email and if you are able to make a donation to Rachel’s team.  It means a lot to me and even more to those who you are helping to save their lives!

If you are able to donate – it is very quick and easy to do, the link to my donation page is:

Again, I cannot thank you enough for your support.  Please let me know if you have any questions.

Love, Callie

Come run the Boston 1/2 Marathon on October 7th!

Callie and Jacko have put together a "LiveForEvan" team to run this year's Boston 1/2 Marathon.

Official registration has closed but you can still run with them and support the spirit and cause of "LiveForEvan". For those of you who may not know, "LiveForEvan" is a philanthropic group comprised of friends of Evan Gerardi, who passed away from a heart condition in 2011. Evan was a very close friend to the Nealons. Jacko grew up with him and he also attended Loyola with Chris and Jeff.

For this race, they are ordering dry-fit LIVE.FOR.EVAN tshirts for everybody and raising some money for the charity they started in his honor through Children's Hospital.

Boston 1/2 Marathon details: Date of Run: Oct 7th Where: Franklin Park, Boston Race Start Time: 8:30am

If you are interested in running or supporting the LiveForEven run through a donation or purchasing a t-shirt, please email Callie (cnealon214@gmail.com)

Mary's Senior Prom

Uxbridge Update

Uxbridge Update
I hope this update finds everybody well.  I want to first congratulate my cousins for their recent graduation accomplishments as well as upcoming weddings!  I’m sure that Grandma (and Grandpa) are looking down on all of this with big smiles!  I’m also proud to share some updates from the Uxbridge Nealons. Mary graduated from Holy Name last week and is heading to Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT in the Fall!  She will be enrolled in their Welch College of Business as a Marketing Major.  Mary finished 3rd in her Senior class and gave a great speech at her school’s senior awards night two weeks ago.  It was a very proud moment.  Mary is working multiple jobs right now – still waitressing at Johnny Jacks restaurant in Milford as well as working at American Eagle clothing store in Millbury.  RJ is home and working this summer for Fish Window Cleaning (a job he had last summer as well).  If there is such thing as perfecting the craft of window cleaning, he has done it!  RJ successfully finished his sophomore year at Mount St. Vincent two weeks ago and is transferring to Syracuse University in the Fall.  He will be enrolled as a Junior in their “I School” (School of Information Studies).  Mike is finishing his HS Junior year and works many hours as a fry/grill cook at George’s Surf-N-Turf in Mendon (a job he had last summer as well).  If you are looking for some outstanding fried clams in the Blackstone Valley, go to Georges!  Leslie is graduating 8th grade and heading to Holy Name as a Freshman in the Fall.  After three years of teaching a full-time 6th grade class at St. Mary’s Elementary School in Worcester, Jen will be switching jobs in the Fall.  She will be teaching full-time middle school (7th and 8th grade) English and Social Studies at Our Lady of the Valley School in Uxbridge (where Leslie is graduating from).  Jen’s commute becomes awesome and she will be teaching the subjects and grade level that she wants.  We continue to be very blessed with good health and family.  I hope everyone is having an awesome Spring!
