Callie's AVON Walk for Breast Cancer fundraiser

Happy Spring Everyone!

As you have hopefully noticed, Spring has finally SPRUNG here in New England......and with each new day, we are reminded of God's blessing upon us, our family and friends...the renewal of life...sun shining, grass greening, flower's blooming and humanity's spirit soaring with the anticipation of warm weather.
Thanks again for supporting me and my team as we continue to train for the 39.3 mile AVON Walk for Breast Cancer. Your donations, kind words and shared laughter are keeping us motivated during these final weeks until the walk on May 14th and 15th.

Our amazing team of 12 women will be holding a fundraiser on Saturday, April 23 from 6:00pm - 10:00pm at the Cask'n Flagon (62 Brookline Avenue, Boston, MA). We hope you can join us.

At the event, we'll be holding a Silent Auction and a Raffle. Below are some of the incredible items that we'll have available, including:

* Rounds of golf at Hopkinton Country Club and Shining Rock Golf Club
* Night on the Town Limosine Service for an Evening
* Several Pairs of Red Sox Tickets
* Bahston Clambake
* Salon Gift Baskets
* Hotel Retreat & Dinner
* Restaurant gift certificates
* Therapeutic Massage
* Deluxe Stationery Gift Baskets
* and more!

It is $15 at the door, there will be free appetizers, private bar, great tunes, and of course - a dance floor. No Nealon party without a dance floor! So please come out, have fun, get in the raffle for some great prizes and bust a move all for this great cause!

Hope to see you there!

Love,
Callie

A letter from Kathleen

Greetings and Salutations:

You may know me from growing up in Sparta New Jersey, attending George Mason University in Northern Virginia or from working and living in North or South Carolina or maybe since I have been residing in Connecticut.

In the last two years I have made some significant changes in my life and have received a lot of help from the local YMCA. Due to the choices I made in the past I was put in a position where I needed to restructure my life. When I moved to Connecticut almost two years ago I was in desperate need of an avenue of hope. The YMCA became a great place for Logan and me to be surrounded by social responsibility, healthy living and youth development. I acquired a membership through their Y Cares program that made membership affordable. This membership gave us HOPE that all would be well.

I am asking that you consider donating to the Y Cares program. Your donation will help provide memberships to those that might be going through a hardship similar to ours or one that is different. Either way it provides hope to people who might think there isn’t any.

I am now employed at the Y and every day I witness what the program does for these families. This program benefits the many families who are facing some of life’s challenges such as health needs and job loss. I have watched these families grow from the Y experience.

Should you decide you would like to share a gift with the Y Cares Program more information on what your gift goes to can be found at the website below.

http://oceancommunityymca.org/ROTY2011.php

Should you choose to donate there is a way to give directly from the above website. There is two drop down options for you to choose where you would like to apply your gift. One allows you to choose the campaign you would like to apply your gift to. The other asks if you would like your gift to be affiliated with a campaigner and my name is listed.

Logan and I are involved with Mystic Reach Out to Youth and I cannot express to you how helpful it has been for us.
